In 2018, the UNIDROIT received a proposal of the Czech Republic to consider including the topic of artificial intelligence on the working agenda of this institute.
In September 2018, the representatives of UNIDROIT particiated at the international conference SOLAIR (Society, Law, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics) organized by the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences and expressed their interest in the topic of AI.
On 6 – 7 May 2019, the UNCITRAL and the UNIDROIT organized a Joint Workshop on Legal Issues Arising from the Use of Smart Contracts, Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Ledger Technology. The particular topics that were discussed can be found here.
